Homeowners who receive assistance or who sell or refinance their home within five years will be required to repay the assistance from any net proceeds.
To participate in the program, mortgage service providers need to complete a simple enrollment package, including contact information, preferred method of data transmission, and deposit account information. For more information, mortgage service providers should email the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA).
The U.S. Department of Treasury guidelines require OHFA to have a separate fiscal agent. We are pleased to have Ohio Homeowner Assistance, a subsidiary of Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, as our partner in administering the Restoring Stability program.
